A Summer of Weekly Farm-to-Table Meals

from $420.00

These are not your average meal kits. These are true farm-to-table dishes where all the ingredients come from Happy Kitchen Farm or other nearby Washington farmers.

We grow the food we love to eat, food that follows the seasons of the Pacific Northwest. Think springtime grain bowl with wild greens and a rhubarb vinaigrette, or early summer potato salad sprinkled with chive blossoms and garlic scapes, or herby panzanella heavy with sun-warm tomatoes, or lettuce wraps filled with tarragon lentils, and Washington walnuts.

Each week from May through October, let us take the lead on crafting a hearty vegetarian meal that is locally sourced, super seasonal, and exceptionally delicious.

Sign up today to reserve your spot in the 2026 meal kit program. We follow a Community Supported Agriculture funding model where you pay for a farm share in advance. (Each weekly kit costs an average of $35. Monthly payments are also available through Afterpay.)

    • All the produce needed to create a vegetarian main dish for 4. Typically this includes a base of whole grains or legumes, fresh greens, seasonal vegetables, and a flourish of herbs and edible flowers.

    • We’ll often provide more produce than you need (e.g., you’ll get a whole bulb of garlic even if the recipe only calls for a few cloves).

    • Recipe instructions and cooking tips

    • Stories and photos about your ingredients and the farmers involved

Note: common pantry items like, salt, vinegar, and oil, are not included. We send recipes in advance so you can make sure you have all the items you need. Check out our Pacific Northwest Pantry page to stock up on these locally sourced staples.

  • Full Season Weekly (May through October): 24

Full Season Bi-Weekly (May through October): 12

Half Season Weekly (May through July or August through October): 12

There will be a two-week break halfway through the season, the last week in July and first week in August. We’ve learned that this is an important time to rest and transition to the second half of the season.

  • Meal kits are available for pick-up or delivery every Friday afternoon.

You can pick-up kits for free at our urban farm site in Tacoma, located on N. 10th St between Stevens and Orchard (exact address provided at check-out).

We also offer delivery throughout Tacoma, Gig Harbor, University Place, and Fircrest ($120 for 24 weeks or $60 for 12 weeks).

When you purchase the delivery option, we also include a reusable cooler bag for you to use throughout the season.

  • You’re welcome to gift your meal kit to a friend or neighbor. We just ask that you give us as much advanced notice as possible. We can also donate your meal kit to members of our community.

  • Community Supported Agriculture, or CSA, is a model where customers receive fresh, local produce directly from farmers. Customers pay for a "share" of the harvest and, since payment is received in advance of the growing season, this helps farmers with crop planning in the winter.

  • While we do our best to send reminders in advance (calendar invites, text messages, emails, etc), we know that life happens. If missed pick-ups become a reoccurring issue, we may ask you to switch to delivery or offer a refund for the remaining weeks.

  • Green Basil, Thai Basil, Beets, Bok Choy, Sprouting Broccoli, Caraway, Carrots, Celery, Chamomile, Chives, Cilantro, Collards, Cucumbers, Cumin, Delicata Squash, Dill, Edamame, Fennel, Garlic, Ginger, Ground Cherry, Hibiscus, Kale, Leeks, Lemongrass, Romaine Lettuce, Lovage, Marigold, Miner's Lettuce, Mint, Nasturtium, Nigella Sativa, Red Onion, Yellow Onion, Oregano, Parsley Calabrian Pepper, Jalapeño Pepper, Padron Pepper, Shishito Pepper, Purslane, Red Radish, Watermelon Radish, Scallions, Shallot, Snap Pea, Snow Pea, Sorrel, Spinach, Delicata Squash, Summer Squash, Sweet Corn, Swiss Chard, Thyme, Tomatillo, Roma Tomatoes, Cherry Tomatoes, Heirloom Tomatoes

We’re also purchasing dried grains and legumes (wheat berries, rye berries, Beluga lentils, yellow lentils, pearled barley) from Eastern Washington and fresh fruit from a historic orchard in Gig Harbor.

  • Since these are meal kits, the produce and ingredients are intended to work together in a cohesive super-seasonal recipe, so no substitutions.
